Technical Requirements
What you need to get started with our platform
We've built our corporate finance analytics platform to work across most modern setups. But let's be clear about what actually matters for a smooth experience. Here's what we've learned works best after three years of deployments across different organizations in Southeast Asia.
Hardware Specifications
Your workstation doesn't need to be top-of-the-line. Most corporate machines from the last four years handle our platform fine.
Minimum Configuration
This will get you running, though some heavier calculations might take a few extra seconds:
- Intel Core i5 (8th gen) or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- 8 GB RAM
- 256 GB SSD storage
- 1920×1080 display resolution
Recommended Setup
If you're working with larger datasets or running multiple analyses simultaneously, this makes a noticeable difference:
- Intel Core i7 (10th gen) or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- 16 GB RAM (32 GB if handling consolidated group financials)
- 512 GB NVMe SSD
- 2560×1440 display for comfortable multi-panel viewing
Software Environment
We're browser-based, which means you don't need to install anything heavy. Just a reasonably current browser and you're set.
Operating Systems
We test extensively on:
- Windows 10 or 11 (most common in Thailand corporate environment)
- macOS 11 Big Sur or newer
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or newer (for the Linux crowd)
Browser Requirements
Modern browsers only. We stopped supporting legacy versions in 2024 because the security risks outweighed backward compatibility benefits:
- Chrome 110+ (current version: 131)
- Firefox 115+ (ESR supported)
- Safari 16+ (for Mac users)
- Edge 110+ (Chromium-based)
JavaScript must be enabled. Cookies need to be allowed for authentication persistence.
Network Requirements
This matters more than people think. A shaky connection can interrupt analysis workflows.
Connection Speed
Minimum: 5 Mbps download, 2 Mbps upload. But honestly, that's cutting it close for data-heavy operations.
Recommended: 25 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload. This gives you breathing room when pulling multi-year datasets.
Latency Considerations
We host in Singapore, so from Thailand you're looking at 30-50ms latency typically. Good enough for real-time collaboration features to feel responsive.
Firewall Configuration
IT departments sometimes block websocket connections by default. You'll need:
- HTTPS (port 443) outbound
- Websocket support for live data updates
- Access to *.clickon-taply.com domain
Data Integration Specs
If you're connecting existing systems, these are the formats we handle smoothly.
File Formats
Maximum file size: 50 MB per upload. Larger datasets can be split or loaded via direct database connection.
API Access
For automated workflows, our REST API accepts standard authentication:
- OAuth 2.0 (recommended)
- API key authentication (for server-to-server)
- Rate limit: 1000 requests per hour per account
Database Connections
Direct connection support for:
- MySQL 5.7+
- PostgreSQL 12+
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016+
- Oracle Database 12c+ (enterprise plan)

Common Setup Questions
These come up regularly during onboarding, so worth addressing upfront.
Can we use it offline? No, the platform requires internet connection. We cache some data locally for performance, but core functionality needs server access. A few clients asked about this for remote site visits where connectivity is spotty.
What about mobile access? The interface adapts to tablets reasonably well. Phones work for viewing reports but aren't ideal for building analyses. Most analysts stick to desktop for actual work and use mobile for quick checks.
VPN compatibility? Yes, works fine over corporate VPNs. Some older VPN configurations caused websocket disconnections initially, but we've worked through those issues with IT departments.
Multi-monitor setup? Fully supported and honestly recommended. Being able to view source data on one screen while building models on another makes workflow considerably smoother.
Security Note: We maintain SOC 2 Type II certification and follow ISO 27001 standards. All data transmission uses TLS 1.3 encryption. Multi-factor authentication is available and becomes mandatory for enterprise accounts in Q3 2025.
